Gaffney -- Sybil Weaver McCraw, 72, of 214 Trenton Drive, passed away Wednesday, December 6th, 2017, at her residence.
Born in Lancaster, she was the widow of Gerald Edwin McCraw and the daughter of the late Sidney F. Weaver and Maphra Lucille Shelton Weaver. Mrs. McCraw formerly worked in textiles and as a cook and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. McCraw are four daughters, Sylvia Garcia of Greenville, Tammy Solis and husband, Librado, of Gaffney, Terri Dorshimer and husband, John Jr, of Gaffney, and Lisa Bailey and husband, Kenneth Jr, of Blacksburg; ten grandchildren, Ronnie Gardner, Summer Pardo, Joshua Batchler, Kandi Hughes, Satin Huskey, Roderica Gardner, Roy Dorshimer, Francesca Gardner, Katlin Glenn, and Dr. Cheynia Allen; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. McCraw was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Weaver, and three sisters, Rose Hernandez, Linda Byars, and Mary Jones.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 9th, 2017, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Dr. Grady Gregory and Rev. Sidney Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Lighthouse Baptist Church Cemetery.
