Tamesha Marice Beam

Ms. Tamesha Marice Beam of 116 Woodbridge St. Gastonia, NC departed this life and transitioned on Sunday, April 26, 2015 in Gastonia, NC. She was born in Cleveland County, NC on September 13, 1986 to Gregory and Francelia D. Beam.

Tamesha was a 2004 graduate of Shelby High School and furthered her education at UNC Pembroke. Tamesha was formerly employed at Dole and was currently employed at KACO USA in Lincolnton, NC. While at Shelby High, Tamesha was a cheerleader and played basketball. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and outgoing personality. She loved life to the fullest. Her greatest accomplishment was becoming a mother. Ja'Mya was the heartbeat and soul of Tamesha's existence.

Tamesha was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Beulah M. Degree and Calvin Bridges and her paternal grandmother, Mary Beam Geter.

She leaves to cherish her memory along with her parents, the core of her existence, her daughter, Ja'Mya Thomason; her sister, Diandria Beam of Gastonia, NC; her brother, Derrick Phillips of Shelby, NC; two aunts, Caren Phillips (Ralph) and Marie Degree both of Shelby, NC; two uncles, Larry Beam (Deborah) and Sherwood Beam (Roslyn) both of Shelby; her fiancé, James Thomason, Jr.; six great-aunts, Aileen Beam of Shelby Doshia Parks of Lawndale, NC, Janice Thompson, Connie Surratt, Shirley Bridges all of Shelby and Georgia McCray of High Point, NC; four great-uncles, Otha Bridges, Raymond Youngblood both of Charlotte, NC andSam Beam (Dot) and Johnny Beam both of Shelby.

Tamesha had a special bond with these first cousin, Matricia Degree, Gereka Degree both of Durham, NC, Carlos Degree (Ikesia) and Shaniqua Degree both of Shelby, Shawn Beam (Jackie) of Spartanburg, SC, Kesha Brantley (Shomari) of Atlanta, GA, Lamar Beam, Patrick Tate, Travis Tate and Sherwood Tate al of Shelby and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Lawndale. Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday and at other times at the home of her parents, 1209 N. Lafayette St. Condolences can be expressed online at www.enloes.net.
