Teresa Elizabeth Short Bona, 67, of 3349 Hollis Rd. in Ellenboro, passed away Monday Febuary 2, 2015 at Kings Mountain Hospice House.

Born September 21, 1947 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Ophas Roland Short and Lillian Betty Smawley Short. She was a sales associate at Belk.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ophas Russ Short, Robert Carrol Short, and Leighton Short, and one sister, Iris Ann Jones.

Survivors include her husband Robert John Bona of 35 years, son, Jeffrey Lee Bona and wife Wanda of Virginia Beach, four brothers, Keith Short of Connelly Springs, Gayle Short of Morganton, Rodney Short of Ellenboro, Neal Short of Casar, three sisters, Tulia Beaver of Polkville, Jane Berman of Holden Beach, Sheila Sipe of Cherryville, and one grandchild, Hailee Bona.

Visitation: Thursday 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Stamey Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center

A funeral service will be Friday 11:00AM at Stamey Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel with Rev. Paul Scott officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
