Teresa McSwain Melton, 61, of 936 Bond Avenue, Gastonia, NC, passed away January 1, 2018, at home. Born in Charlotte, NC, she was the wife of the late Donnie Leroy Melton and a daughter of the late Clyde and Vernie Flowers McSwain. She was a homemaker and loved karaoke.
She is survived by her daughter - Rebecca McNabb of Gastonia; sisters - Sandra Harris of Gastonia, and Patsy Holcomb of Gaffney, SC; brother - Edward Prorock of Dallas, NC; three grandchildren - Austin Stevenson(Amanda), Kearston Walden and George McNabb, Jr.; three step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren - Kayleigh Stevenson, Constance Stevenson, Austin Stevenson, Jr., Axel Walden and Lucious Stewart. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister - Betty Cobb.
A Celebration Of Life Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 5, 2018, 3:00 PM, at White Columns, Blacksburg, SC, with Rev. Randy Funderburke officiating. At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.
