Teresa "Tina" Willis, age 61, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Levine Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. She was born February 27, 1956 in Lincoln County to Prue Neal Willis Thornburg of Lincolnton and the late Klutz Willis. She was a retired NCDOT supervisor and her hobbies included playing bingo, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. Tina was a fighter and cared for everyone she knew, especially her son Daniel, who is on dialysis.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Willis.
She is survived by her son, Rev. Daniel Woody of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Chelsey Woody, Daniel Woody, Jr., Faith Woody, Gavin Finley, Skylar Finley and Trinaty Finley; great-grandchild, Hunter Reep; brother, Tony Willis and wife, Renee; nieces, Trina Willis Begue and Emily Willis; and special aunts, Mary Sain and Pauline Heavner.
A Funeral Service will take place Friday, November 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Daniel Woody and Rev. Randy Funderburk officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 until 1:45 PM at the funeral home.
