Terry "Johnny" Martin, 58, of 208 W Carolina Street Apt. C13, passed away on Sunday, February 5th, 2023, at Upstate Community Hospice House.

Born in Gaffney, SC, he was the widower of Monica Patterson Martin and son of the late Herbert and Sybil Sprouse Martin. Terry formerly worked as a carpenter and was a member of Garden Temple Assembly of God. He loved his family, working, working with wood, old westerns and classic movies. Terry also proudly served his country for four years in the United States Marine Corps.

Surviving Martin are a daughter, Natasha Foster (John), of Gaffney; four sisters: Debbie Martin of Gaffney, Kim Thompson of Ellenboro, NC, Joy VanDyke (Jimmy) of Gaffney, and Sonya Thornburg (Randall) of Gaffney; a brother, Tony Martin (Angie) of Blacksburg; three grandchildren: Faith Foster of Blacksburg, Alix Foster of Grover, and Jayden Ross of Gaffney; two great-grandchildren: Paxton Wright of Blacksburg and Kyler Foster of Grover; and a very special friend, Paulette Peeler of Grover.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Martin, a brother, Kenneth Martin, and a sister, Anita Penningon.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 10th, 2023, at 1:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel. officiated by Pastor Greg Martin.

The family will be at their respective homes.
