Terry Putnam Byars, 60, of Shelby, NC, passed away on July 27, 2019 at her home. She was born in Cleveland County, NC to the late Charles C Putnam and Ruth Goins Putnam and was preceded in death by 2 brothers Johnny and Ricky Putnam and a grandson Braylen Merck. Terry enjoyed attending Corinth Primitive Baptist Church. She loved to travel and to cook. Her grandchildren were the center of her life and loved nothing more than spending time with them. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Terry will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved her.

Grandchildren: Taylor McCracken and husband Matthew Lawndale NC; Cheyanne Williams and husband Timothy Fallston NC; Burgan Merck Fallston NC; Bentley Merck of Gastonia NC; Lucas Allen

Great-grandchild: Emerson Williams

FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday July 31, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Second Baptist Church in Kings Mountain NC with Pastor Timmy Whitaker, Elder Tom Robinson, and Elder David Anderson officiating.

VISITATION: Tuesday July 30, 2019 from 7:00- 9:00 PM at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain NC

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain NC
