Texie Lail Wright, 91, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at home. A native of Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Peter Alonzo and Lottie Cook Lail. She was also preceded in death by husband Millard Wray Wright. Texie was a member of Mulls Memorial Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Texie is survived by her daughter, Faye Hamrick of Dalton, GA; grandsons, Gary Hamrick and wife Bonnie of Dalton, GA, Wray Hamrick and wife Stephanie of Shelby; great grandchildren, Tiffany Hamrick of Dalton, GA, Cole Hamrick of Shelby, and Derek Norwood and wife Faith of Dalton, GA; great great grandchildren, Landon Crider and Peyton Crider of Dalton, GA.; sister, Effie Lindsey of Fort Lauderdale, FL; brother, Arnold Lail and wife Betty of Shelby.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, September 21, 2012 at Mulls Memorial Baptist Church. The Rev. Bulo Price will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
