Thomas “Tommy” Bell
Thomas “Tommy” Bell, 79, of Shelby, passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 2013, at Hospice House of Kings Mountain. Mr. Bell was of the Baptist Faith, and worked at Macomson Machine Shop and later at Fasco Ind. as a machinist. Mr. Bell even worked on parts for the Apollo Space Ship and also served proudly in the U. S. Navy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Ransom Bell and Elvina Wesson Bell; two brothers; and four sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Allen Bell of the home; sons, Carl Bell and wife Susan of Blacksburg, S.C., and Marvin Bell of the home; grandchildren, Mindy Walters, Myra Morgan, and Shane Ramsey; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cleveland Funeral Services.        

Funeral service: 3 p.m. Thursday at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel

Burial: Cleveland Memorial Park with Military rites
