Thomas “Tommy” Jenkins Webb

Thomas “Tommy” Jenkins Webb age 74 died Friday June 28, 2013 at his home. Born in Cleveland County he was the son of the late Fred and Margaret Morgan Webb. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and was a member of the Original Couples Sunday School Class. He was a member of the former Wagon Wheels Square Dance Club, was a huge sports fan and an avid softball player. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Annette Allen Webb and a sister, Nancy Hardin.

Mr. Webb is survived by his wife of 19 years, Joanne LaPerriere Webb; a son, Gary Thomas Webb and wife Laura of Huntersville; step children, Amy Carraway and husband Perry of Roswell Ga. and Eric Caltrider and wife Tara of Ventura Ca.; two sisters, Jane Saratt and husband Lynn of Boiling Springs, and Bobbie Wheat and husband Michael of Shelby; five grandchildren, Bree Webb, Tommy Caltrider, Caitlyn Caltrider, Emma Caltrider, and Liam Carraway.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday June 30, 2013 at 6:00pm at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Oliver officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. Private burial will be held at Cleveland Memorial Park.
