Timothy Nelson Cabiness, 70, of Vale, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Catawba Valley Hospice House, Newton.

Born in Lincoln County, on March 7, 1953, he was a son of the late Athel Clay Cabiness and Margaret Subana Morrow Cabiness. He was retired from Hanes in Kings Mountain after thirty-five years of service and was a member of Reeps Grove United Methodist Church. He served in the US Army During Vietnam.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his four brothers, Allen, Steve, Ned and Neal Cabiness and a sister Patsy Ann Black.

His survived by his wife of fifty-one years Nina King Cabiness; son, Mike Cabiness of Vale, two brothers, Wayne Cabiness of Crouse and Harold Cabiness and wife Gail of Lincolnton.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, at Reeps Grove United Methodist Church.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Reeps Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnathon Lemaster-Smith and Rev. Paul Christy officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
