Timothy "Tim" Leroy Bivins, 57, of 3206 Frank Grigg Drive, Shelby, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center - Charlotte.
Born December 17, 1956 in McDowell County, he was a son of the late James Leroy Bivins and Jeanne Smith Bivins. He worked for DM & E Corporation and was a member of Polkville United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Bivins.
Survivors include his daughter, Cierra Paige Bivins of Polkville; brother, Neil Bivins of Blacksburg, SC; sister, Yvonne Folk of Boone; sister-in-law, Brenda Bivins of Kings Mountain; nephew, Ian Bivins and wife, Vickey of Chesapeake, VA and niece, Heather Bushart and husband, Joel of Lawrenceville, GA; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Friday, Polkville United Methodist Church, Polkville.
Funeral Service: 12:00 PM, Friday, at Polkville United Methodist Church, Polkville.
Officiating: Rev. Bill Lovelace.
Burial: Polkville United Methodist Church Cemetery
