Tommy Baxter, III
 Tommy Baxter, III, 32 of 2571 Thomas Baxter Lane passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

Born October 6, 1978 in Cleveland County, he was employed by RCS in Charlotte and Triple B One Stop.  He was a member of Bess Chapel United Methodist Church.

Tommy was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas Worth Baxter, Sr.; grandmother, Clara Nell Hallman and aunts, Linda Baxter and Brenda Hight.

He is survived by his father, Tom Baxter, Jr. and Karen Elliott of Cherryville; his mother, Kathy and Bud Foster of Sherrills Ford; a son, Gage Thomas Baxter of the home; twin daughters, Abigail Nicole Baxter and Hannah Paige Baxter both of the home; sister and best friend, Malinda Baxter Smith and husband, Allen of Cherryville; paternal grandmother, Mabel Baxter of Cherryville; maternal grandfather, Junous Hallman of Lincolnton; three step-sisters, Bonnie and Paul Baxter, Shantae and Matt Testa and Elaine Jackson; nieces, Haley, Evelyn, and Kaitlyn Smith; nephew, Zackary Smith; aunts and uncles, Ann and Larry Stanley, Kathy Baxter, Benny and Sherry Hallman and Al Hallman; cousins, Melissa and David Avery, Steven and Johnna Baxter, Hunter and Alyssa Avery, Seth and Jenna Baxter, Misty and Brent Balamuki and Shannon and Matt Estep, Tonya and Doug Wilson, Larry Stanley, II and Tyler Stanley.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Stamey~Cherryville Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Friday, August 26, 2011 at Bess Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Billy Towery, Rev. Joe Sparks and Rev. Roy T. Byers officiating.  The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
