Troy Alston Turner, 48, of 645 Oak Grove Clover Hill Church Road, Lawndale, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014.
He was born in Cleveland County on May 30, 1966 and was the son of B. Alston Turner and Sue Earl Turner of Lawndale. He was retired form the NC Department of Transportation in the maintenance department after twenty-two
and half years of service and was a member of Kistler's United Methodist Church. Troy was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his son, Ethan Turner of Ellenboro; sister, Roxanne Proctor and husband Bryan of Casar; niece, Anna Proctor of Casar; nephew, Bryson Proctor of Casar; best friend and mother of his son, Johnnette Turner of Ellenboro; aunts and uncles, Wayne and Lillie Earl of Lawndale, Jim and Lucille Earl of Lawndale, Roger and Linda Marshall of Casar, Barbara Earl of Lawndale, Pansy Earl of Fort Mill, Robert and Katherine Turner of Morganton, and Merle Barrett of Lawndale; and numerous loving cousins.
The family would like to thank the Dialysis Clinic of Shelby and Upper Cleveland Rescue for their care , and for all the prayers and concerns people have expressed through Troy's sickness.
