Vangie Ella Costner, 81, of 304 Kadesh Church Road, Lawndale, passed away
Friday, August 14, 2015 at Country Time Inn, Assisted Living Community in
Kings Mountain.

Born in Cleveland County on April 1, 1934 to the late Arthur Lee Willis and
Janie Mae Taylor Willis. She was reitred from the Textile Industry where she
was a spinner and was a member of Friendly Chapel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of
fifty-four years Paul Read Costner; daughter Norma Lutz; four brothers, Roy,
Robert, Kenneth and Rayford Willis; and four sisters, Pauline Greene,
Margaret Blackwell, Sue Turner, and Mildred Helms.

She is survived by four sons, Kenny Costner of Casar, Gerald Costner, Jimmy
Costner and Gary Costner all of Lawndale; daughter, Rita Smith of Lawndale;
two brothers, Lloyd Willis and Wayne Willis both of Cherryville and numerous
grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Fallston. Condolences may

The funeral will be held on Sunday at 3:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home & Cremation Center Chapel with the Revs. Norris Willis and Jackie Price
officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Charity Baptist Church Cemetery.
