| Vergie Sigmon Peeler, 85, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby. A native of Catawba County she was the daughter of the late Macon and Ada Price Sigmon. Mrs. Peeler retired from Moretz Hoisery in Newton, NC after 10 years of service.
Mrs. Peeler is survived by her husband of 9 years James L. Peeler; a son, Reggie Lane and wife Susan of Durham, NC; a daughter, Patsy Clark and husband Gary of Conover, NC; four grandchildren, Kelly Moore, Summer Lane, Jonathan Lane, and Winter Lane; and seven great grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park. The Rev. Hobby Outten will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home.
