Mrs. Vernia McCurry Goins, 93, of formerly of Carillon Assisted Living, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010. Services were held at Dover Baptist Church. Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park. 

Mrs. Goins was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Goins; her parents, Samuel and Monte McCurry; 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

She is survived by 2 sons, Jerry Goins and wife Mary Ann of Shelby, and Sam Goins and wife Susan of Greenville, SC; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
