Vernie Mae Pruett, 71, of Morganton, died Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Burke
Hospice and Palliative Care in Valdese after a period of declining health.
She went home to be with her Heavenly Father for Eternity.
She was a much loved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother who loved her
family dearly.
Born January 11, 1940 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late
Arie Esper Hudson and Barbara Lou Hoyle Hudson. She retired from Sherrill
Furniture 2006 as a inspector and was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde
Junior Pruett; three sisters, Sylvia Marcell Wright, Beulah Hudson and Carol
Hudson; and a brother, Arie Pete Hudson.
Survivors: include four sons, Billy Bradshaw and wife, Diane of Morganton,
Markas Pruett and wife, Lisa of Morganton, Bobby Bradshaw and wife, Renee of
Valdese, and Jerry Bradshaw and wife, Alesia of Lenoir; three daughters,
Agana Johnson and husband, Johnny, Debbie Grabowski and Jason Watson of
Lincolnton and Kathy Hudson and husband, Jim; a sister, Dorothy Morrow and
husband, Jim of Morganton; three brothers, Fred Hudson and wife, Linda of
Hickory, Frank Hudson and wife, Coleen of Casar and Wayne Hudson and wife,
Pansy of Casar; nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eleven
great-grandchildren; a loving cat "Spanky", a loving special close friend
and caregiver, Donald Deal and close friend, Carolyn Franklin.
Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, Pisgah Baptist Church, Casar. The body
will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.

Burial: Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery
