Vertie Madge McNeely Price, 92, of 247 Cain Drive, Blountville, passed away
Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Holston Manor Nursing Home in Kingsport, TN.
Born July 7, 1919 in Cleveland County she was a daughter of the late Horace
McNeely and Naomi Jane Sigmond McNeely. She was a homemaker and a member of
Cassidy United Methodist Church. Her hobbies were cooking, sewing, and
flower gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James
P. Price and two brothers, William E McNeely and Forrest McNeely.
Mrs. Price is survived by a daughter, Joanne Putnam and husband, Wallace of
Blountville, TN; grandson, Jeff Putnam and wife Lydia of Victoria, TX;
granddaughter, Janet Mann and husband Steve of DeWitt, VA; six
great-grandchildren, Nicole Putnam, Brittany Mann, James Mann, Heather
Beldin and husband Cody, Jennifer Gossen and Mark Gossen;
great-great-granddaughter, Destiny Putnam; two sisters, Betty Jones and
husband L.L. of Lincolnton and Merle Barrett and husband Ronald of Lawndale.
Graveside Service 2:00PM Saturday at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston.
