Vertie Norman McDaniel, age 81, passed away at White Oak-Shelby on December 29, 2020. Born in Cleveland County on December 7, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Vance Andrew and Margaret Ella Randall Norman. Vertie was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She retired from Fasco after a number of years of service. Vertie enjoyed cooking. In addition to her parents, Vertie is preceded in death by her husband, William Gene McDaniel; a brother, Floyd Norman; a sister, Ora V. Oaks

Vertie is survived by a brother-in-law; Steve McDaniel of Casar; a sister-in-law, Helen Lail of West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 11:00am at Cleveland Memorial Park with Dr. Tim Sims officiating.
