Gaffney -- Vickie Hughey Shelton, 57, of 2877 Old Georgia Highway, passed away Saturday, October 29th, 2016, at her residence.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of John Henry Shelton and the daughter of the late Boyd Hughey and Kathleen Gordon Hughey. Mrs. Shelton was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Shelton is survived by one daughter, Jessica Butler and husband, Paul, of Gaffney; two brothers, Roger Hughey and wife, Debra, and Rickey Hughey and wife, Claudia, all of Gaffney; five sisters, Francis Young and husband, Ted, of Spartanburg, Carolyn Calvert, Sandra Frady and husband, Arthur, Barbara Mullinax, and Julia Cooper and husband, Donnie, all of Gaffney; and one grandchild, Nevaeh Mack of the home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Sam and Summer Shelton, one sister, Linda Mullinax, and one brother, Dean Jones.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 1st from 2:00 - 3:00 at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 at Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. William Blanton officiating.
