Vickie Lynn Howell Vaughan, 57, 3856 Harris Creek Road, Lawndale, NC, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013, at her home.

She was born on June 8, 1956, in Cleveland County, NC, to Jane Gantt Costner and the late James Leland “Jimmy” Howell.     

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Butch Costner.

In addition to her mother , she is survived by her husband of 18 years, Stephen Lee Vaughan; two stepdaughters, Christy Castle and husband, Kevin of Montecello, GA and Shelly Briscoe and husband, Darren of McDonough, GA; four grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Stamey Funeral Home.  At other times the family will be at the home of Jane Costner, 3902 Harris Creek Road, Lawndale, NC.
