| Victor Marvin White, 44, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Rutherford Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otis and Gladys Whitaker. Victor was employed at Trelleborg and a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church. He loved to fish and make wood-working projects.
Mr. White is survived by his mother and step-father, Martha and Ron Hamrick of Shelby; his father, Von White of Polkville; a brother, Michael Hamrick and wife Pattie of Forest City; sisters, Lisa Hamrick of Shelby and Ashley Ross of Polkville; grandparents, Ray and Dorothy Hamrick of Shelby; his children, Victoria and Patrick; and a special friend, Pam Stinson of Rutherfordton.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 5, 2011 at Sandy Plains Baptist Church. The Rev. Karen B. Jones will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00am – 11:00am prior to the service. At other times, the family will be at the home of Martha and Ron Hamrick, 1017 Crawley Gin Road in Shelby.
