GROVER - Mrs Viothy Marie Porter, 82, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. She is predeceased by her husband, James Jack Porter; parents, Preston and Carrie Byers Martin; a sister, Darkes Guffey; two brothers, Lee Edward Martin and Crawley Wisher; a son Roger Dale Porter.
She is survived by a son, Jackie Porter (Sandra) of Gaffney; a daughter, Tammy Watson (Calvin) of Gastonia; a brother, Ken Wisher of Conover, SC; five grandchildren, Amanda Luna, Carrie Cable, Phillip Cable (Samantha), Preston Porter, Skylan Porter; seven great-grandchildren, Miguel Luna, Kenneth Luna, Aaron Byars, Jayden Byars, Brantley Cable, Elyjah Rojas, Jeremiah Byars; numerous nieces and nephews.
Marie loved to play bingo and sitting on her porch drinking coffee was a favorite pastime of hers.
A 4:00 p.m.graveside service will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Oakland City Cemetery, 6th Street, Gaffney, SC with Rev. Eric Davis officiating.
