Virgie White Farris, age 96, a resident of Kings Mountain, NC, went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2015 at Kings Mountain Hospital. Born in Cherokee County, SC, daughter of the late Robert A. and Mary Ann Blanton White, and was preceded in death by one brother, Obrean White and two sisters, Margaret White and Beatrice Cabaniss. A member of Oak View Baptist Church, Kings Mountain she was a Sunday school teacher, member of the choir, Women on Missions and Young at Heart. A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother she was known for her candied yams and pies. Retired from Glenn Raven Mills in Kings Mountain and a former employee of the Kings Mountain Senior Center Gift Shop.
