Mrs. Virginia Dare Ramsey Bridges, 81, of Shelby, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Services were held at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment followed at Sunset Cemetery in Shelby.
Mrs. Bridges was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Bridges; her parents, A.A. Ramsey and Edna Bethea McFarland Ramsey; her brothers, T.A. “Jack” Ramsey, Billy Ramsey, and Frank Ramsey and one sister, Margaret McSwain.
She is survived by by two sons, Doug Evans and his wife Lorrie of Hollywood, Florida and Don Bridges of Pickens, SC; one daughter, Lisa Phillips and her husband Eddie of Rutherfordton; one sister, Mary Ella Reinhardt and husband T.E. (Gene) of Belmont; 3 grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers, Bob Ramsey and wife Joy of Candler, NC and Steve Ramsey and wife Carolyn of Elk River, MN; and a special niece, Vickie Camp of Shelby.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC.
