Virginia Dobbins Lewis
Virginia Dobbins Lewis, 92, of Doggett Road, Forest City, died on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Fair Haven Home of Bostic. A native of Rutherford County, she was born on October 08, 1921, a daughter of the late Charlie C. And Mallie Marie Bridges Dobbins. She was retired from the Textile Industry, a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Ellenboro and loved to sew and read.
 
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lewis; two sons, David Guy Lewis and Barry Dean Lewis; one grandson, Reginald Lewis. She is survived by her sons, William Allen Lewis and wife Nancy of Forest City and Robert Charles Lewis and wife Kaye of Ellenboro; one sister, Marie Dobbins of Dobbinsville; one sister-in-law, Lois Brown and husband Walter of Pickens, SC; 8 half brothers; 2 half sisters; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
 
A Celebration of Mrs. Lewis’s Life will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ray Hooper and Rev. Michael Sepaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service.
