Mrs. Virginia Frances Shytle Wallace, 88, resident of Peak Resources, Shelby, NC, passed away Monday, November 8, 2010. Services were held at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park.
Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her husband, Loran “L.D.” Wallace; her parents, Richard Calvin and Stella Spencer Shytle; 1 son, Dan Wallace; 1 brother, Richard Shytle; and 1 sister, Margaret Hazel Cook.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Kay Hinson and husband Ken of Shelby; 1 brother, Bill Shytle and wife Jessie of Rockhill, SC; 2 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and 1 brother-in-law, Roy Cooke of Shelby.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Poplar Springs Baptist Church, 1102 Poplar Springs Church Road, Shelby, NC 28152; or to: Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
