Virtle Davis Teal, 83, of 125 McIntyre Road, Cherryville, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at her residence.

Born August 3, 1932 in Cherokee County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Marion Davis and Emiline Mary Lou Allen Davis. She was retired from Shelby Elastics and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Leon Teal; three sisters, Eliza Bates, Bernice Monday and Ella Smith; and a grandson, Nathan Ollis.

Survivors include two sons, Brent Ollis and wife, Rita of Cherryville and Gary Ollis and wife, Judy of Cumming, GA; two daughters, Wilma Williams of Hickory and Yvonne Barnes of Connelly Springs; brother, Dallas Davis of Hudson; sister, Frances Bolton of Conover; six grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center

A funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Sunday at Stamey Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Byrd officiating.
