Walter Mull, age 91, of Sterling Dr. passed away Monday, June 26, 2023, at Wendover Hospice House.

He was born June 4, 1932, in Cleveland County to the late Pete and Essie Mae Costner Mull. Walter was a carpenter by trade and loved being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Campbell Mull; son, Walter Charles Mull; grandchildren, Tim Jarrell and Michelle Mull; and siblings, Robert, Wayne, and Earl Mull, Dottie McCurry, and Elaine Stroupe.

Survivors include his son, Roger Ray Mull; daughter, Diane Jarrell Haynes; grandchildren, Cassie and Matt Woodlief and Brandon and Jami Jarrell; great grandchildren, Rowen Woodlief, Landon, Ayden, Rylan, and Hadley Jarrell; and sisters, Pat Carpenter, Jeanette Canipe, Marlene Parker, and Betty Mellon.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 2:00 PM at City Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 PM prior to the service at Carpenter-Porter Funeral Home.
