Wanda Kay Glover Towery, 62, of 6759 Casar Road, Lawndale, passed away,
Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.
She was born in Cleveland County on March 21, 1951 to the late Odge and
Mattie Lee Glover. She was employed with the Brian Center Hickory East as
the activity director, and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church,
Connelly Springs.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years Fred J. Towery; four
children, Dwayne Towery and wife Pam of Lawndale, Sheila Goodman and husband
Greg of Lawndale, Jessie Towery and wife Melisa of Lawndale, and Jessica
Canipe and friend Chris Brittain of Connelly Springs; nine grandchildren,
Isaiah, Cassidy, Jared, Dalton, Cooper, Whitley, Harley, Dakota, and
Cheyanne; one great grandson, Braylen ; three brothers, Russell Glover of
Casar, Jackie Glover of Polkville, and Mickey Glover of Forest City, and
sister Patsy McCombs of Pigeon Forge, TN.
Visitation, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, Shady Grove Baptist Church,
Connelly Springs. Condolences may be made online at

Funeral Services, 2:00 PM, Saturday, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Connelly
Springs.
Officiating, Rev. Billy Mayes, Rev. Charles Lewis.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
