Mr. Warren Franklin Spurling, 87 of 651 Belwood-Lawndale Road, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Born April 4, 1927 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Monroe Franklin Spurling and Sylvia Lattimore Spurling. He was a farmer and a lifelong member of New Bethel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, trustee, and cemetery committee.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Edwin Spurling, Robert Spurling and Daniel Spurling; and two sisters, Ruth Spurling Beam and Pauline Spurling Miller.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Marjorie Jane Mitchem Spurling; son, Tommy Spurling (Marsha) of Lawndale; daughter, Wanda Spurling Kilby (Jim) of Lawndale; grandchildren, Scott Spurling (Dawn) of Belwood, Leslie S. Webb
(Derek) of Belwood, Myra S. Juban (Matt) of Belwood, Greg Spurling (Dakota) of Vale, Emily K. Parker (Kenny) of Lawndale, and Bobby Kilby (Miranda) of Casar; great-grandchildren, Lee Spurling, Dustin Spurling, Cheyenne
Spurling, Luke Spurling, Nori Webb, Alayna Webb, Bethany Webb, Joseph Webb, Jacob Webb, Eli Webb, Savanna Gantt, Daniel Juban, Liam Juban, Justin Parker and Anzlee Kilby; a sister, Elizabeth Ann Sain of Lawndale.
