William Albert Greene, 81 died Friday, February 24, 2017 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby. Born and raised in Polkville, Mr Greene worked as a truck driver and a part time farmer. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Shelby.He was preceded in death by his father Albert Fitzhue Greene and mother Lois Jones Bowling.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann (Gold) Greene; his children Kay Hoyle and husband Mickey, Mike Greene and wife Rita, Cynthia Roberts and husband Ben, and Carol Cochran and late husband Mike; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. His brother Larry Greene and wife Jean, and sister Betty Jo Waterson and husband Richard.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 26, 20167at 3:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Sims officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm in the sanctuary.

The burial will take place on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Cleveland Memorial Park.
