William Aubrey Clark 83, of Shelby, NC, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2012 at Wendover Hospice of Shelby.

Aubrey was born on July 7, 1929 in Cleveland County, NC; to the son of the late Thad Pickett and Linda Holcomb Clark.

Aubrey retired from textiles and was a member of the Mulls Memorial Baptist Church.

Aubrey is survived by his wife, Alma Raye Camp Clark of Shelby, NC; son, Stephen Aubrey Clark of Lawndale, NC; daughter, Sheila Clark Swift of Shelby, NC; sisters, Loudella Hill of Mooresville, NC, and Irene Willis of Lincolnton, NC; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  Aubrey is preceded in death by wife Carolyn Bennett Clark; son, Gary Clark; daughter, Vickie Lynn Clark along with two brothers and two sisters.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Mulls Memorial Baptist Church in Shelby, NC with Rev. Jeffrey Self officiating.  The service will begin at 2:30 P.M. with visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M.  Burial will follow in Mulls Memorial Cemetery.
