William Baxter Craft
 Mr. William Baxter Craft, 84, of 10528 Moore’s Chapel Rd, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.

William was born on March 5, 1927 in Cleveland County a son of the late John Wesley Craft and Maude Harrelson Craft.  William was retired as a long line driver for Aker Motors in Gastonia.  He was a member and former Elder of Garden Memorial Presbyterian Church in Charlotte and was a member of Fallston Masonic Lodge #356 AF&AM for 59 years.  William served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents William was preceded in death by his wife Eula Mae Falls Craft; stepmother, Estelle Murray Craft; sister, Elisabeth Craft Odell; two brothers, John W. Craft, Jr. and Kenneth Lavery; and a nephew, John K. Craft.

Survivors include his brothers, Klent Craft and Don Lavery both of Cherryville; step daughter, Anita Stafford of Concord, also a number of nieces and nephews, and special friend, Annie Hartsell.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00a.m at Garden Memorial Presbyterian Church in Charlotte on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 with the Rev. Rob Chambers

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Garden Memorial Presbyterian Church in Charlotte from 10:00 until 10:45a.m.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Shelby with Masonic Rites.

Memorials may be made to Honduras Missions, c/o Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 112 Mt. Zion Church Road, Cherryville, NC 28021.
