| Mr. William Charles Scism, age 77 died Saturday October 7, 2012 at his home. Born in December 9, 1935 in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late William Boyd and Hattie Mae Wright Scism. Mr. Scism was a Lifelong member of Dover Baptist Church, loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Scism loved gardening and farming and any animal that needed a home was taken in by he and his wife. Mr. Scism worked for Dover Mills for over 40 years and stayed with them until they closed the doors. He was also an Atlanta Braves fan. Mr. Scism is survived by a son, Jimmy Scism and wife Alenia of Shelby; a daughter, Vicki Beam and husband Scott of Shelby; a sister, Dovie Proctor and husband Bill of Shelby; a brother, Allen Scism and wife Ruth of Shelby; two grandchildren, Mason Beam and Courtney Scism; and a great grandson, Pactrick Grigg.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday October 9, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Ervin Bulo Price officiating. Private burial will held at Cleveland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday October 8, 2012 from 5:00pm until 8:00 pm at the home of Jimmy and Alenia Scism, 1904 Chatfield Road, Shelby NC.
