William Dwight Ledbetter, 92, passed away Monday June 29, 2015 at White Oak Manor of Kings Mountain. A native of Cleveland county, he was the son of the late Smith and Laura Gettys Ledbetter. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, proudly serving his country in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a Charter Member of Bethlehem Volunteer Fire Department and retired from the Lily Mills as Vice President and general Manager.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Dale Ledbetter; one brother, Robert Grover Ledbetter.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Gladys Pheagin Ledbetter; one daughter, Aloma Ledbetter Falls and husband Bill of Kings Mountain; one sister, Ruby Wright of Shelby; four grandchildren, Jason Falls and wife Nancy of Kings Mountain, Natalie Pennington and husband Roy of Shelby, Andrea Navy and husband Sean of Grover, William Ledbetter, II and wife Christy of Germany; five grandchildren, Angel Pennington, Brandon Pennington, Ashley Falls, Nicholas Falls, Matthew Navy, Emma, Sophia, and Liam Ledbetter.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 2:00pm, Thursday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6-8:30 pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.

CLERGY: Dr. Steve Taylor and Rev. Jerome Cash will officiate.
