William E. Dover, Jr.
William E. Dover, Jr., 856 South Charleston St., Blacksburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord December 9, 2013, at home surrounded by family.  He is the husband of Linda Upchurch Dover of the home and a son of the late William G. and Oree Bradley Dover.  He was an associate of Sanders Bros. and retired from Duke Power.  He was a charter member of CKC Volunteer Fire Department.  Junior, as he was known,  was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church where he served as Treasurer.   He was a veteran  serving in the United States Marine Corp  during the Korean Conflict.   He loved sports and was an avid outdoorsman.
 
In addition to Linda, his wife of 56 years, he is survived by one son - William Tommy Dover of Blacksburg, SC; one granddaughter - Brittany D.  Demkowski and husband, Stephen; one great-granddaughter - Emma  Dover-Demkowski;  and four sisters - Aliene D. Bell, Blacksburg, SC, Mary D. Kale and Betty D. Brazell both of Clover, SC, and Ann Batchelor of Blacksburg, SC.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers - Roy "Spook" Dover, Bill Jack Dover, Edward "Dinky" Dover, and Ronnie Dover; and three sisters - Myrtle D. Lanier, Joyce D. Bolin and Ellen Jean Costner.
 
The family will receive friends  Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 PM at Nazareth Baptist Church.  A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2013, 3:00 PM, at Nazareth Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Billings officiating.  Entombment, with Military Honors, will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens.  At other times, they will be at the home.
 
Pallbearers serving are Ken Wray, Richard Hope, Calvin White, Timmy Earls, Dever Solomon, and Matthew Martin.
