William Eric Watson, 48 of 2600 W. Stagecoach Trail, Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at his residence. 

He was born on October 17, 1965, in Wayne County, NC to the William Roger Watson of Sharpsburg, GA and the late Nancy Bonita Mode Watson.    He was a newspaper carrier for the Shelby Star and Gaston Gazette.

In addition to his father he is survived by a brother, Jason Scott Watson and wife, Laci of St. Augustine, Florida and a sister, Stephanie Lynne Watson of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Visitation: The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
