| Mr. William H. Potter, 91, of Shelby, NC passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Services were held at the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral Home. Burial was held in the Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Potter served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
Mr. Potter was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Hamrick Potter; his parents, John and Harriet Potter; three sisters, Mary Belle Wood, Pearl Barnes and Sally Robinson; three sons, Barry Potter, John Potter and Jerry Pottery.
He is survived by two daughter-in-laws, Donna Potter and Shirley Potter; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
