William Morse Cook, Jr., 60, of 3511 Fallston Road, Shelby, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.
Born November 11, 1953 in Georgia, he was a son of the late William Morse Cook, Sr. and Ellen Elizabeth Hammond Cook. He worked for Cleveland Mills as a dye operator. Mr. Cook was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church and
was an ordained and licensed minister.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Hefner.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Rose Carter Cook; three sons, William Cook of Chesnee, SC and Timmy Jones and Chris Jones both of Shelby; two daughters, Mandy Mathis of Cowpens, SC and Wendy Hedgepath of Shelby;
thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three sisters, Carol Burrell of Greenville, SC, Mary Ellen Draper of Chapin, SC and Deborah Cruce of Inman, SC
Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Fallston.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Monday, at Blessed Hope Baptist Church, Shelby.
Officiating: Rev. Sidney Weaver
Burial: will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston
