William Richard Woodward, 68, of Kings Mountain passed away on Marth 29th, 2022, at his home.

William was born in Orange, Texas, on a naval base to the late Homer David Woodward and Daisy Juanita Pennington Woodward on April 13th, 1953. He married Cindy Bush Woodward on March 21st, 1975 and had two wonderful children. William Richard Woodward and Torie Lee Woodward and he cared deeply for his three beautiful granddaughters, Alexis Terry Dryden, married to Eric Dryden, Jayla Daisy Dawson, and Jaylee Amaris Woodward. His big, and forever growing, family was his pride and joy.

William is survived by Cindy Bush Woodward, William Richard Woodward Jr, Torie Lee Woodward, Barbara Woodward McKInney, Nona Woodward Huskins, Homer David Woodward Jr. and his wife, Judy Woodward, Alexis Terry Dryden and her husband, Eric Dryden, Jayla Daisy Dawson, and Jaylee Amaris Woodward.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 31st, 2022 from 6:00--7:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC. Memorial services will follow at 7:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Zack Hayes officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights, Shelby, North Carolina 28150.

The family will be at their respective homes.
