Willie Arviner Willis Greene, 90, passed away Wednesday night January 25,
2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Greene was the daughter of the late Marvin Willis and Daisy Worthy
Willis. She worked for Esther Mill, was a CNA for Helping Hands, and a
member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her husband Queneth Haas Greene; five
brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her children, two sons, Barry Greene and wife Margaret of
Shelby, Rev. Marvin Green and wife Margaret of Rutherfordton; daughter,
Carol Green White and husband Gene of Shelby; one sister, Betty Willis
Brooks of Alabama; sisters- in- law, Margaret Greene of Shelby, Betty Greene
of Shelby and Gwen Grumbine of Lebanon, PA; five grandsons, Reece White
[Karen Clay], Mark White, Yuri Greene and wife Kim, all of Shelby, Jason
Greene and wife Paige of Raleigh, Marvin Green Jr. and wife Amie of
Wilmington; two granddaughters, Minnie Green Caffell and husband Benji of
Forest City and Leslie Greene, Boulder, CO; and 10 great grandchildren Alex
White of Shelby, Caitlin White of Greensboro, Aaron Roberts of Boiling
Springs, Laura Katherine Greene, John Allen Greene, Willa Rose Greene, all
of Raleigh, Chloe Greene of Shelby, Sam Caffell, Rachel Caffell, Noah
Caffell all of Forest City.
The family wants to give a special thanks to the end of life unit and 4 East
at Cleveland Regional Medical Center for the exceptional care that was given
to Mrs. Greene.
Visitation: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
