Mr. Willie “Bill” R. Taylor, 91, resident of 122 Gloria Drive, Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010. A Graveside Service was held in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, York, SC.
Mr. Taylor served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Taylor and Lela Isler Taylor Owensby; 1 son, Floyd Taylor, Sr.; 1 daughter-in-law, Lek Taylor; and 1 great-grandson, Nicholas Thompson, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ruth Irene Talbert Taylor of Kings Mountain, NC; 4 sons, Michael Taylor and wife Vera, and Jake Taylor and wife Debbie, all of Kings Mtn., NC, and Rickey Taylor, and Philip Taylor and wife Valerie “Sissy”, all of Clover, SC; 1 daughter, Gloria Stewart and husband Roy Bob of Kings Mtn., NC; 1 daughter-in-law, Dolorese Taylor of Clover, SC; 1 sister, Eula Mae Porter of Sumter, SC; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
