Mr. Willie Frank Locklin, 79, of 314 Martin St. departed this life on  Sunday, November 3, 2013 at White Oak Manor Nursing Home in Shelby, NC.   He was born on May 23, 1934 in Atlanta, GA to the late Daniel and Rolean Lett Locklin.

Mr. Locklin was a United States Army veteran.  He enjoyed watching sports, walking and sitting on the porch.  He was a humble quiet person who was free hearted and very giving.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Locklin.

Left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Patricia London (Steve) of Shelby, Monica Locklin of Hickory, NC and Mary Lackey of Cincinnati Ohio; two sisters, Doris Brown of Oklahoma and Ruby Tuggle of Atlanta, GA; grandchild, Kawan London of Shelby and four additional grandchildren; great-grandchild, Londyn Broom and six additional great-grandchildren close friends, Jesse Jordan and Patsy Ratchford and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 3:00 PM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Claude London officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the chapel and at other times at 314 Martin St. Shelby.  Condolences can be expressed online at www.enloes.net.  Enloe Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
