Willie G Griffin, 83, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2018 in Kings Mountain, NC. Born in Madison County, NC, he was the son of the late Ralph Griffin and Mollie Buckner Griffin and was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Dellia Belle VanDyke Griffin. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, J.A., Zade and Ed Griffin and his sister, Cora Coats. Willie served in the United States Army and was a retired furniture maker at Drexel. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf. Willie loved being outside in his building, making and upholstering furniture and other things. He loved camping and spending time at the beach in his camper. He was a wonderful grandfather and friend and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
