Willie Lee Hampton Bingham, 88 of Plainsveiw Church Road, Lawndale, went to her heavenly home on Monday, August 14, 2023 at her residence.

Born in Catawba County, on July 6, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Howard Taft Hampton and Maude H Brittain Hampton. Mrs. Bingham was a member of Plainsview Baptist Church. She retired from Printing and Packaging and also volunteered at Hospice Cleveland County for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Joe" Ulyesses Bingham; two brothers, Bill and Jim Hampton and a sister, Marceline Crouse.

Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Willis and husband, James of Lawndale; son, Joey Bingham of Shelby; a grandson, Jack Willis; a brother, Ronnie Hampton and wife, Jean of Conover and beloved fur baby Coco.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Willie's caregiver Elizabeth Parker of Casar and Hospice of Cleveland County.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 6:00 PM at Plainsview Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Key and Rev. Renee Lewis officiating.

The burial will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
