Mr. Wink Russell, 84 of Kings Mountain, NC passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010. Services were held at Eastside Baptist Church, Kings Mtn., NC. Burial followed in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mtn., NC with Military Honors.
Mr. Russell served our country in the U.S. Marines, serving tin Saipan and Iwo Jima during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Mildred Noblitt Russell; and his parents, Edd Lee and Ollie Threatt Russell.
He is survived by 1 son, Dale Russell and wife Diane of Kings Mountain, NC; 2 daughters, Elaine Grigg and husband Alfred of Gastonia, NC, and Tonya Hall and husband Chip of Ladson, SC; 1 brother, Wayne Russell of Kings Mountain, NC; 3 sisters, Skeet Craig of Monroe, Alfie Wade of Wadesboro, and Lucille Christmas of Kershaw, SC; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
