Governor Beverly Purdue came to Kings Mountain to welcome and announce that WIPRO will be opening a data center in Cleveland County. The company purchased the former Chris Craft facility and will convert and upgrade it to meet Uptime Institue’s requirements for a Tier III rating. The upgraded facility will also be designed to meet LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certification. President of WIPRO Infocrossing, Sameer Kishore stated: “At WIPRO Infocrossing, we are always looking for ways to increase the value we deliver to our customers. Our vision for our Cleveland County data center is to not only increase our data center footprint, but build a data center that brings the best infrastructure technology to our clients.”
