Zanie H. Hudson, 88, of 5255 Casar Road, Lawndale, passed away Saturday,
April 16, 2016 at her home.

Mrs. Hudson was born in Cleveland County on October 22, 1927, to the late
Vance Hudson and Mary Jane Cooke Hudson. She was formerly employed by
Drexel Heritage and was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands Oscar
Pruett and Harvey Hudson; sons, Hugh Hudson, Larry Hudson, Dan Hudson and
Don Hudson; daughters, Colleen Bowman and Faye Willis; grandson, James
Junior Pruett; brothers, Oscar Hudson, Lester Hudson, Clete Hudson, Joe
Vance Hudson, Doc Hudson, and Ruffin Hudson; and sisters, Annie Pruett and
Tenness Hudson.

Mrs. Hudson Is survived by sons, James Pruett and wife Sherry of Casar,
Dwight Hudson of Savannah, Harvey Junior Hudson of Casar, Jerry Hudson of
Vale, Richard Hudson of Vale and Joe Hudson of Cherryville; daughters, Della
Ledford and husband, Bobby of Lawndale, Brenda Greene and husband Alan of
Casar, Geraldine Canipe and Rodney Ward of Vale, Dorothy McCurry of
Lawndale, Diane Bradshaw of Lawndale, Nancy Luckadoo of Casar and Edith
Workman of Fallston; special niece , Margie Lowdermilk of Morganton;
grandchildren, Michael Pruett, Bobby Ray Ledford, Chastity Canipe, Josh
Ledford, Aaron Greene, Danny Walker, Amy Walker, Brian Greene; a number of
step grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, great great
grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Monday at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston. Condolences may be made online at

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 PM at Pisgah Baptist
Church, Casar, with the Revs. Bobby Ledford, Ronnie Ledford and Glenn
Kerstetter and officiating. The body will lie in state from 2:30 PM to 3:00
PM at the church.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
